It’s been quite some time already since I published my latest makeup staple review. I love such posts but the products really have to deserve a place among my makeup staples and it does not happen that often. I may love the product and I may really enjoy using it but it takes time for me to realize that there is actually nothing else out there to replace it. As for the bronzer I have been looking for my perfect bronzer for a couple of years now and I’ve never got to purchase the famous NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder until it was released in a limited-edition packaging with a mini NARS Ita Kabuki Brush.
Smoky eyes have been not just a huge trend in makeup but a classic makeup look for more than a decade now. Nevertheless, makeup producers have only recently decided to start producing palettes for smoky eye looks – palettes that combine mattes, satins and shimmers darkened for a soft yet sultry eye look. One of my favorite eyeshadow palettes for that type of makeup is the Zoeva Smoky Eyeshadow Palette, that is also a perfect eyeshadow palette for every day makeup as well.
With all this hype around the Nars Adacious lipsticks everyone has completely forgotten about a very noteworthy Nars lipsticks range and do often overlook the range in stores. But some of these lipsticks are true gems! And are even better in terms of color and finish selection than their more expensive ‘cousins’.
It is a rare thing that you can find an exceptional product by any brand. It is even more rare that you find it in drugstore. And it barely never happens with a blush. But I am honestly surprised how much I really like the Catrice blush that I have bought more out of curiosity than out of necessity. And for quite sometime already it has been one of my favorites, that is nearing a “makeup-staple” title.
On the sunny beaches of the Red Sea I realized how much I do really enjoy using the makeup remover from L’Oreal. This particular makeup remover is so effective and gentle that I cannot think of a better option for the regular use, especially on vacation.
This month’s favorites post caught me right on the beach filled with sunshine, salty air and sea waves crashing right by my feet. The month of June was full of oldies but goodies with some newbies coming by. All in all I was pretty surprised to really like some of the new summer launches – and to find more gorgeous products from favorite brands.
As the June is over and the second quarter of the year as well it is the time for the product empties that I do each three months. This time I have some really interesting products to talk about along with some gorgeous products that I have already featured in my product empties last time.
It is very rarely that I can say that I have finally found a makeup staple product, especially when it’s a foundation. Don’t know why but a foundation has to meet so many different criteria and requirements to become an irreplaceable makeup item for me that barely any has ever been good enough. But I’m honestly happy to present you the Guerlain Lingerie De Peau foundation – one of the greatest inventions by Gurlain up to date.
