Nina Ricci Mademoiselle Ricci

Nina Ricci Mademoiselle Ricci Review
Nina Ricci Mademoiselle Ricci

I have been deeply in love with rose-based fragrances for about a year a half now. I see myself wearing them throughout the year, especially in the fall. There is something cozy and romantic about sweet rose fragrances that makes me reach for them more often than not. One of my current favourites is the Nina Ricci Mademoiselle Ricci.

Nina Ricci Mademoiselle Ricci (€ 47.50 for 30 ml) was re-released in the year of 2012 as a new vision of the initial Mademoiselle Ricci dated 1967 with the new scent being more rose-concentrated. The scent is currently available in two sizes – 30 ml for € 47.50 and 50 ml for € 68.95. Mademoiselle Ricci comes in a gorgeous heavy glass bottle with warm pink gradient and a cute plastic bow as a cap. It has a very good spray that creates a highly dispersed cloud of fragrance around you. The nose behind Mademoiselle is Alberto Morillas.

The pyramid of this fragrance opens with the wild rose, pink paper and raspberry that are followed by a highly fragrant heart that consists of oleander, rose hip and laurels. The composition is based on the traditional to the house heavier wooden notes that include white wood, musk, amber, cedar and violet. The rose and rose hip are dominant and loud throughout the wear time with cedar and white wood slightly replacing them by the end of the day. Pink pepper adds a touch of spiciness to the scent that makes the overall perception less sweet. A combination of musk, violet and oleander makes it appear a little old-fashioned, but in a very good way.

Mademoiselle Ricci is definitely a rose fragrance but it is unique as it differs so much from all other rose-based fragrances I’ve tried – like Tom Ford Cafe Rose (reviewed here) or Clinique Aromatics in White (reviewed here). This scent is very long-lasting and you can still hear it on your clothes several days later. The sillage is also quite strong so you won’t go unnoticed with Mademoiselle Ricci.

If you love rose fragrances as much as I do I would suggest giving Nina Ricci Mademoiselle Ricci a try – it is a perfect Fall scent and might become a cherished addition to your fragrance collection.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!
