I finally to around to reviewing the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick. I was very excited when I got it first but now I have quite mixed feelings about it. I like the idea but I am not the biggest fan of the formula, especially in comparison with their Soft Matte Lip Creams.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick ($7.00) – Doll up your lips in plush and vibrant color! Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick glides on and sets into a striking matte finish. Now available in 12 more velvety-soft shades, this waterproof lippie creates a positively polished look with every swipe.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick comes in a plastic opaque tube that reflects the color inside. I personally really like such a chubby and sturdy design as my lipsticks travel with me everywhere. It also has a large doe-foot applicator that is actually very comfortable to use and to line your lips with. The amount of product you get is 4 ml or 0.13 fl oz, that is not that much to be honest. NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick comes in 24 shadesneutrals, reds,  pinks and purples, blues and deeper, darker colours.

I instantly fell in love with the shade Soft Spoken right when I applied it to my lips. NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft Spoken is a deeper milk chocolate shade with pinky-neutral undertones and a soft matte finish that looks marvellous on the lips and does not contradict my skin tone with distinctive pink undertones. What I do not like about this liquid lipstick is the formula. It is wet, slippery and does not sit on the lips that well. If you press your lips together 2-3 minutes after application – it is going to move a lot and you’ll have to reapply it all over again. It takes this lipstick full 10 minutes to get completely dry but it is nowhere near transfer-proof. It transfers badly – on everything.

Initially I wanted to try quite a few shades from the range – but now I am not going to do that. I love the shade a lot but the formula makes this lipstick unwearable for me. NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are way better in that sense and are avaliable in more shades.

Have you tired the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick? What do you like about it and what don’t? Let me know in the comments down below!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,

Dorothea ❤

  1. I’m writing up a review on the NYX Suede and the Lingerie and even though they were hyped so much I’m not really happy with either. I had the same problems with the Suede and the fact I have the grey shade, Stone Fox, makes these problems way more obvious. Shame as the shade range is great!

  2. Oh, it’s beautiful! The other day I got a list of NYX items really worth buying, they are not expensive. I must start with that list. I see they are right when I read they are real dupes for high end brands. Plus I prefer to spend less on makeup and more on skincare. Great review ❤
