The newest KIKO Milano Blush Cocoa Shock has recently appeared in stores worldwide. These pretty blushes come in the cutest ever chocolate bar shaped packaging and are available in duos so you get two gorgeous corresponding blushes in one – you can use these either together or alone.
KIKO Milano Blush Cocoa Shock ($18.00) – Baked blush in two shades with a delicate vanilla scent. The baked formula is ideal for obtaining a natural, buildable look. The two shades can be used individually or blended together. The pure colour is revealed instantly, brightening the complexion and ensuring a matte, even-looking and smooth finish. The lightweight, ultra-fine texture glides on the skin and blends easily. When applied, it is silky to the touch and the colour adheres instantly.
KIKO Milano Blush Cocoa Shock comes in four beautiful color combinations: 01 Sweet Coral and Apricot, 02 Silky Rose and Mauve, 03 Adorable Pink and Peach and 04 Preppy Pink and Tan. All colors looked amazing when swatched and I have two options for you today. All blushes come in a compact designed as a part of a chocolate bar and house a full size mirror together with two blushes. The color of the compact differs from one another depending on which duo you have (it can be a white chocolate, milky chocolate, dark and ultra dark chocolate) and each compact contains 6.0 g or 0.21 oz of product.
KIKO Milano Blush Cocoa Shock in 02 Silky Rose and Mauve is a combination of two blushes. The one on the left – Silky Rose – is a lightened pinky mauve shade with ultra finely milled multicolored shimmer that is invisible on the skin but adds this type of hidden luminosity to the satiny matte finish. The one on the right – Mauve – is a deeper brownish mauve shade with neutral undertones and the same finely milled multicolored shimmer that makes the soft matte finish of the blush a bit more lit from within.
KIKO Milano Blush Cocoa Shock in 04 Preppy Pink and Tan also comes with two blushes of corresponding colors in it. The blush on the left – Preppy Pink – is a light cool-toned pink shade with a smallest amount of white in it. It has the finely milled multicolored shimmer throughout its texture that results in a luminous soft matte finish on the skin. The blush on the right side – Tan – is a deeper warm-toned orangey toffee color with subtle honey undertones and the same multicolored shimmer in its formula. This shade also has a toned down lit from within soft matte finish as the other three blushes mentioned above.
All blushes in these two compacts have quite similar, even identical technical characteristics. The finish is the same in each case – it is not matte as stated on the official website, but I would rather describe it as soft matte with a subtle luminosity. It looks as if your skin is lit from within although you cannot detect any glitter or actual shimmer on the skin. All blushes stay put applied over a foundation for 6+ hours on me and have an amazing pigmentation. All shades are very wearable but some of them may not show up as desired on deeper skin tones. The buildable formula though allows you to vary the intensity from a sheer application to medium. All blushes are very blendable and easy to work with.
I really enjoy using these blushes and I love the idea of using two blushes together as if you have three blushes in one. Me personal favorite is the 02 Silky Rose and Mauve as it compliments my skin tone the best and looks most natural on me. Though I still love the Preppy Pink from the second compact quite as much. Tan is also beautiful but it looks more like a bronzing blush on me. The finish is quite unique as you can rarely see anything similar on the market – you either get a completely matte and flat finish or it’s too luminous and sparkly. And the design is quite cute as well.
