As you might already know – I really love creating wish lists of new releases or some amazing products I’ve never tried before. It seriously helps me organize my makeup and skin care collection and avoid unnecessary purchases. Moreover, wish lists allow you to structure your purchases and make them more balanced so that you don’t get only makeup or skin care and be able to save money for perfumes and accessories as well.
I was very intrigued when Lancome launched their new line of skin care – Energie De Vie – that is suitable for all skin types from sensitive and dry to oily and combination. As my skin have been a bit of everything lately I think that I would really enjoy something that suits all skin types and meets all skin demands. Lancome Energie De Vie Water Infused Cream is water-infused that means a good hydration for the skin. It is officially stated that it ‘leaves skin feeling energized and looking revitalized for an instant dewy glow‘. I’ve experienced quite an uneven skin texture lately along with a bit of dullness and this cream is supposed to significantly help with it.
I am very concerned with the condition of my skin right now and that makes me look for new options foundation-wise. Estee Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance Foundation is advertised as a ‘flawless makeup, it’s hydrating, illuminating skin care’. According to the description it ‘leaves skin feeling hydrated – even after you take it off. Pores, dry fine lines and imperfections seem to disappear‘. I do feel my skin is quite dehydrated right now – hot weather makes it appear dry on the one hand and also produce more oils on the other that in its turn causes break outs. To avoid all of it and still be able to wear foundation I was searching for a good solution and Futurist foudantion seems like it. It has a buildable coverage from medium to full and a beautiful luminous finish that is what I prefer to have in my foundation.
Thoroughly removing your makeup at the end of the day is a key to healthy and glowing skin. I have been very much into Korean skin care lately and the newest release by Erborian caught my eye almost instantly. Erborian Solid Cleansing Oil is a ‘balm cleanser with seven Korean herbs to whisk away impurities for skin that feels perfectly cleansed and makeup-free‘. I prefer solid oil cleansers to liquid ones as those are not as messy and are travel-friendly. I also want to stick to the Korean double-cleansing method that means using both oil-based and water-based cleansers to get rid off of all makeup and impurities there might be on your face. Moreover, it is enriched with green tea, licorice, Japanese knotweed, skullcap, rosemary, chamomile and centella Asiatica – all of which are extremely good for our skin.
Even though I have quite a few black liners – I just cannot resist getting the newest Lancome Grandiose Bendable Eyeliner. It can be used in a straight position as well as it can be bended at the angle of 35 degrees for a more precise application. I noticed that sometimes it is a bit harder to place you liner at a right angle and to draw a perfect wing with it. This particular liner promises a ‘close access to the lash-line and the ultra-thin tip of the felt applicator is supposed to create a clean liner look‘. I could really use something like this as a winged liner is one of my favorite looks.
I love makeup brushes. I strongly believe that flawless makeup is based equally on the quality of a product and on the brush/sponge you use. I’ve been looking for a perfect contour brush for ages now and I got really interested in this new Sephora Collection Pro Contour Kabuki brush. It looks very different compared to all other kabuki brushes on the market and it seems to mimic the curves of the face that can be a really good and innovative approach towards face contouring.
And finally there is the Tom Ford Orchid Soleil Eau De Parfum that has just been released by the brand. I spotted it in my local store last week and have been playing with the idea of purchasing it since. It is a white floral fragrance and it top notes include pink pepper, bitter orange and cypress followed by the heart with red lily and tuberose. The base is vanilla, patchouli, chestnut, whipped cream and orchid. It is a rich floral scent with the noticeable creamy notes that are very appealing and extraordinary. I really love Tom Ford fragrances and I think this one is no exclusion!
