Is it worth the hype? Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette

Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette Review and Swatches

Since I reviewed the Sleek Makeup Precious Metals Highlighting Palette I have been dreaming of getting the Solstice Palette as well as I was completely in love with the first one. Sleek highlighters are of the highest quality and I enjoy using these so much! Moreover, the Solstice Palette has been so hyped up about lately that I couldn’t resist trying it too.

Sleek Makeup Solstice Highlighting Palette (€12.49) instantly enhances the complexion with a radiant glow, the highly pigmented metallic finishes create a gorgeous luminous sheen on the skin.

This palette is officially advertised as a versatile product for face and body highlighting that suits all skin tones. According to the Sleek Makeup website, this palette includes two baked powders, one luxurious cream formula and one silky shimmer powder. It comes in a golden sturdy plastic case that houses a huge mirror, four highlighters and a small brush. The amount of product you get is 9 g or 0.32 oz. The brush is of no use for me personally because it is too small, synthetic and its bristles are quite rough. I suggest using a fan brush or a very soft and sparse tapered brush with it.

There are three finishes of highlighters in this palette, as it is mentioned in the description. The Ecliptic highlighter is a cream. Both, Hemisphere and Equinox, are of an intense metallic finish and the Subsolar is a soft sheen highlighter. The color range in this palette differs from the Precious Metals quite a lot.

The Ecliptic is a cool-toned golden rose highlighter with a subtle violet pink undertone. It has a  mirror like finish and is easily buildable to an intense effect.

The Hemisphere is a gorgeous cool-toned violet silver shade with extremely finely milled multicolored shimmer. It has an intense metallic finish and a very buildable coverage from sheer to opaque.

The Subsolar is a beautiful light yellow gold shade with multi-colored shimmer and a gorgeous soft sheen.

The Equinox is a warm-toned peachy pink base with tons of ultra finely milled pink, silver and blue shimmer that translates into soft metallic sheen on the skin.

This is my favorite highlighting palette ever! Is it worth the hype? Yes, yes and yes! All powder highlighters are of an amazing quality and are buildable from very sheer and gentle application to an intense, out of this world highlight. Ecliptic is a gorgeous cream highlighter that can be used under or over the foundation, looks beautiful either way. It also works amazing as a base for any other highlighter you might place on top of it and has the most wonderfully intensity if applied heavily.

I am more than happy that I got this palette and I also will be posting a review on the Midas Touch Palette that also deserves all the hype in the world! Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palettes get the highest rating from me and I would love to see the brand coming up with more palettes with new and unusual shades! If you haven’t tried the Solstice palette yet I advise you to do so! It is extremely beautiful!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,
