Mini-Review: Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro 507 Boudoir

I’ve always been wanting to try something from Giorgio Armani beauty line because almost everyone raves about their famous Luminous Silk foundation and lip products. I was definitely curious and therefore I decided to start with the Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in the newest shade – 507 Boudoir.

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro ($38.00) is the first lip stain with a comfortable velvety texture and a radiant finish. Lips appear instantly plumped and radiant. The sensual, non-sticky texture offers hours of hydration and comfort. Concentrated pigments permeate the gel formula, offering intense, seductive, illuminating color.

The description sounds especially promising, doesn’t it? When I first saw the line I was instantly drawn to the cooler toned shades as I love this type of colors for my light skin with pink undertones. I was introduced to the newly added shades among which there was a 507 Boudoir. It is a medium-dark lavender pink shade with tons of finely milled pink, blue and peachy shimmer. I have to mention that it looks darker in the tube than it appears on the lips. The finish is somewhere in-between velvet and satin. The amount of product you get is 6.5 ml or 0.22 fl oz.

The tube is of an irregular shape but is nicely manufactured. Even though it is made of plastic it feels expensive and is a pleasure to use. The doe-foot applicator is large enough to allow you cover your lips in a couple of swipes as it takes just the right amount of product. A single dip allows you to get a light to medium coverage, whereas a dip more makes the color appear completely opaque as on the photo above.

Even though it looks very cool-toned in a tube and in direct flash – it comes out neutral on the lips with a very slight cooler sheen to it. The shade you get on the lips is more of medium-dark dusty pink with cooler undertones and a beautiful satiny-velvet finish. The product feels like absolutely nothing on the lips, is neither hydrating nor drying. It lasts for six to eight hours on my lips and fades slightly towards the last hour of wear. This lip stain has no particular scent and I would even say that it smells like nothing.

Overall, it was love form the first touch! I have never ever experienced anything like that. It is such a smooth, gentle lip product that glides on my lips like a dream, stays put for ages and looks extremely gorgeous. It is the most flattering shade in my collection and I consider it my all-time favorite lip product from now on. This is the lip stain I reach for for special occasions, I’ll definitely keep using and I will repurchase it for sure whenever I run out. Moreover, it definitely is your-lips-but-better shade for me and I believe that it looks absolutely stunning on many people as well.

I totally recommend checking out the Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro line. Besides shade 507 Boudoir – there are 17 shade more from nudes to deep reds and pinks. Even though the line is not too extensive, there is something for everyone. Considering the fact that this lip stain is very comfortable to wear and lasts for a fair amount of  timeit is very much worth giving it a try.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,

Dorothea

  1. Great post! I have to try this liquid lipstick! Thanks for the info. I have been looking for a GOOD liquid lipstick that is not drying to the lips. Have you seen my new post on my favorite high end nude lipsticks? I think you will like it. Take a look. I just put it up yesterday. Have a great Sunday!
