I keep exploring the world of Catrice. I have recently posted a full review of the Catrice Absolute Eye Colour Eyeshadows and was pleasantly surprised with the high quality at such an affordable price. Catrice also has two more types of single eyeshadows available – Velvet Matte Eyeshadows (that I am going to review later) and Liquid Metal Eyeshadows, that I have just put to the test and am ready to share my thoughts on them with you.
Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow (€3.99): colours with high pigmentation for an extraordinary metallic shine: the silky powder with a chrome effect is reminiscent of liquid metal. Its innovative texture with maximum pigmentation and intense colour-dispersion is sure to make the eyes shine instantly.
There are six shades available in the line and I have four of them to show you today: 010 Look Me In The Ice, 020 Gold’N’Roses, 040 Under Treasure and 080 Mauves Like Jagger. The ones I down’t own are the 030 We Are The Champagnes (champagne gold) and 120 Satina Van Der Woodsen (light gold). Each shadow comes in a plastic compact with the transparent lid that allows you instantly detect the shade inside. The amount of product you get is 3 g or 0.10 oz that is twice as much as you get with either Urban Decay Single Eyeshadows (1.5 g or 0.05 oz) or NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows (1.5 g or 0.05 oz) or MAC Single Eye Shadows (1.5 g or 0.05 oz).
Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow in shade 010 Look Me In The Ice is a warm-toned white with tons of silvery-white shimmer that results in a very shimmery finish when the shadow is applied dry and turns way more metallic when applied wet.
Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow in shade 020 Gold’N’Roses is a warm-toned medium dark pink base with a huge amount of gold shimmer that makes this shadow look a lot like a duo-chrome from pink to gold. The finish is either shimmery when applied dry or strongly metallic when applied wet.
Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow in shade 040 Under Treasure is a warm-toned bronze-gold duo-chrome with very strong olive undertones that make this shade appear darker leaning more towards old gold shade. It has a very beautiful finish with a strong metallic sheen applied both wet and dry.
Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadow in shade 080 Mauves Like Jagger is a cool-toned medium-deep taupe gray shade with a huge amount of purple shimmer that makes this shade look more purple than gray. It has a slight metallic sheen when applied dry and looks way more metallic when applied wet.
As I already said you can apply these eyeshadows both wet and dry to change the finish or color intensity. All eyeshadows on the photo above are applied dry over the NARS Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow Base. These perform wonderfully when used together with the base and last for 10 hours on me. Liquid Metal Eyeshadows are easy to apply and are easy to blend as all Catrice eyeshadows I’ve tried. I love how metallic and shiny these appear on the skin and how biuldable these are from a very sheer application up to a full coverage.
I really enjoy using these eyeshadows in my every day look to amp things up a bit. The amount of product you get with these eyeshadows makes them a pure bargain for the price you pay. Again, Catrice didn’t fail to impress me with their eyeshadows! Beautiful product for a budget-friendly price. You should totally check these out if you are looking for a wonderful metallic eyeshadows with an amazing color payoff and good staying power!
Thank you very much for your attention.
Have an amazing day!
Hugs and kisses,
