Question of the Day: Do you include a face toner in your daily skincare routine?

I have been including a lot of different products in my skincare lately – mostly because I had to test some new products out, but I was also searching for holy grail skincare items that could potentially improve my skin texture. I was not paying much attention to toners and face mist until a year or so. I have to say that I have been using toners for about a year now and I have started noticing how significantly my skin has improved over this period of time.

About eight months ago I published a post on how important it is to use a toner dailyThree reasons to get a face toner, where I explain how to choose a right toner and why you should do it. I have included three different toners to my skincare routine and I have to admit that my skin has improved since. Using a toner allows the essence to sunk into the skin quicker and the face cream to absorb easier. Toner is the easiest way to prepare your skin for other skincare products you tend to put over.

I have really  been loving the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 – it is a perfect solution for dry to combination skin (this is the exact type of skin I have). I helps to clean my skin and to leave it fresh and glowing. I do also enjoy using The Face Shop Green Tea Oil Free Toner as much. It smells like green tea and feels absolutely amazing on the skin. This toner helps a lot with skin moisture and it has definitely made my skin more hydrated that it was before. From time to time I use my Tony Moly Rice Smooth Toner – I like how non-irritating and smoothing it is on my skin, but I cannot say that it does something extra special to my skin and I prefer the other two way more.

I would also love to mention the Caudalie Beauty Elixir that is not actually a toner but is more of a face mist. But I use it mostly as a toner to prepare my skin before makeup or skin care application. It has really good soothing and calming abilities and I do enjoy its therapeutic scent as well.

How often do you use toners? What are your favorites ones? Share your answers, thoughts and ideas in the comments down below! I would really love to know!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,

  1. I must have a toner in my skincare routine! My face feels weird without it. I’ve been using the proactiv one for years but am trying to find a new one to replace it because it doesn’t have the best ingredients.

        1. Hahaha 😀 Clinique toners contain alcohol that could be a hit or miss for you – I personally do not mind it as it works for me but other people may not really like it. Nevertheless, there is a good hydrating toner by Lancome (Lancôme
TONIQUE CONFORT – Comforting Rehydrating Toner) – I’ve heard really good things about it and plan to get one soon to compare to my other favorites 🙂

  2. I didn’t use to because I thought they didn’t do anything, but about 3 yrs ago I started to use one and I’ve noticed that my skin is clearer and my skincare absorbs better! I also like to mist a toner in the mornings to help hydrate the skin before I put on skincare / foundation. My favourite misting toner is from Sukin:
And toner for after cleansing face is The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner. 🙂

    1. That is exactly what I am talking about – toner definitely makes my skin clean and fresh and helps other skincare products to absorb quicker! 🙂 I also love the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray and The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist to adds some moisture to my skin in the morning! 🙂 Thank you for sharing your favorite products! 🙂
