Review of the Day: Sleek MakeUP Precious Metals Highlighting Palette

Highlighter is an essential part of my daily makeup routine. If I do a ‘no makeup’ makeup look – I always use a highlighter as it instantly adds a beautiful glow to the face and makes your skin look fresh, radiant and glowing from within. It is a rare thing that you can find a nice highlighter (to say nothing of the highlighting palettes!) for an affordable price. Sleek MakeUP Precious Metals Highlighting Palette contains four amazing highlighters and won’t cost you a fortune!

Sleek MakeUP Precious Metals Highlighting Palette ($14.99) is a multitasking must-have that creates a gorgeous all-over shimmer that instantly enhances the complexion with a fresh, radiant glow.

Sleek MakeUP Precious Metals Highlighting Palette comes in a gun-metal colored plastic compact, that houses a full-sized mirror, four highlighters and a mini-brush. The brush is useless and I got rid of it the first day. The mirror is big enough to use it for eye makeup and will be a good option for you if you travel a lot. The compact closes safely as it has a magnetic closure.

The amount of product you get is 9 g or 0.31 oz that is comparable to a full-sized TheBalm highlighter like Mary-Lou Manizer. As I mentioned above, this palette has four highlighters. I numbered them on the photos above: I – Platinum, II – Royal Gold, III – Renaissance Gold and IV – Antique Bronze.

Platinum is a cool-toned almost white cream to powder highlighter with tons of finely milled pink and blue glitter that translates in a beautiful shimmery finish on the skin.

Royal Gold is a warm-toned light champagne gold cream to powder highlighter with extremely finely milled gold shimmer and specks of silver glitter. The finish on the skin is more glittery than shimmery. Very festive!

Renaissance Gold is a warm-toned light champagne gold cream to powder highlighter with tons of finely milled gold shimmer and a strong metallic finish. Looks a lot like The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer highlighter when swatched.

Antique Bronze is a medium dark warm-toned bronze powder highlighting bronzer with tons of finally milled gold glitter and a very shimmery finish. Compared to cream to powder finish of the other three highlighters, Antique Bronze is a little bitt sheerer but still applies evenly.

All highlighters in this palette are of a high quality. The amount of all four highlighters is comparable to a full-sized The Balm highlighter, as I mentioned above, that means that you will use up each sector faster than a usual highlighter but this palette offers you quite a variety of shades and finishes. The bronzer in this palette is an interesting option for summer and for deeper skin tones. My favorite in this palette is shimmery Platinum – you can very rarely see a white highlighter packed with pink and blue glitter. It looks amazing on my pale skin and is very unique. The other two favorites would be the Royal Gold and Renaissance Gold that are very similar to Mary-Lou Manizer in terms of shade though these differ in terms of application due to the fact that three highlighters in this palette are creams to powder. These three highlighters work best applied with fingers as it makes the application and blending process easier compared to application with a brush that might seems  a little bit patchy. I do not reach for a bronzer that often as I prefer matte bronzer for autumn and winter but I think this one will look really nice in summer. All cream highlighters last on my skin for at very least 8 hours and the bronzer stays put for 6 to 7 hours.

I loved this palette so much and I decided to get the Solstice Highlighting Palette as well. If you love highlighters and look for a variety of shades and finishes – this is a very good choice. These four highlighters are not similar and are no dupes of one another that makes this palette an awesome option both for daily wear and for special occasions. Taking into account that the staying powder is amazing and the price is affordable – this palette is absolutely amazing and is a decent competitor to its higher-end rivals. I totally recommend checking it out!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,

Dorothea
