Question of the Day: What is the best nighttime moisturizer for dry/dry-to-combination skin?

Taking care of the skin is one of the most important steps in your daily makeup/skin care routine. When your skin is hydrated and plump – any foundation goes one flawless and easy. I’ve always suffered from a very dry skin and having a good nighttime moisturizer is absolutely essential for me.

I’ve had very dry skin for as long as I remember but I’ve learned how to take care of it. Having a consistent daily (both daytime and nighttime) routine have completely changed the appearance of my skin. I still have dry skin on the sheets but my skin started producing oils on its own on certain areas – like forehead and tiny bit on the nose and chin. This is a significant improvement for me as used to have extremely dry skin on my forehead (even patchy!).

I believe it took me about a year or so to make my skin like that. My current favorites are CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (that has absolutely amazing texture and healing properties! reviewed here), Origins GinZing Energy-boosting Moisturizer (perfect to make your skin glow and is good for both AM and PM) and The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Cream (if your skin strives for some oils! reviewed here).

Even though I already have several nighttime moisturizers I love, I am always happy to learn something new and to find some new and amazing products.  So, if you have dry or dry to combination skin – please share your perfect nighttime moisturizer with us! Tips how to make dry skin hydrated are also very welcomed!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,

  1. I love the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion too! It’s my go to day time.
For night time I’ve been enjoying Shiseido Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream for many years. It’s very effective but doesn’t feel overly greasy. It’s pricey but a jar lasts me a long time.
I also find that a serum is very important for me – my current favourite is a Canadian brand so I can’t recommend it to you… but another one I do like is Caudalie’s Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum:

    1. What amazing products you’ve shared! I love the Caudalie Serum too and I definitely have to try this Shiseido cream now! 🙂 Also, feel free to share Canadian brands as well – there might be people from Canada and due to brand’s expansion it might reach Europe one day! 🙂
