I keep steadily exploring the world of Sleek MakeUP. I was very impressed with the quality of their I-Divine eyeshadows and with the Oh So Special in particular. I decided to try their blushes next as I’ve already seen tons of good reviews on them. The Rose Gold blush is even known to be a perfect dupe to Nars Orgasm. No wonder I was so curious!
Sleek MakeUP Blushes ($6.99) are long lasting and highly pigmented available in a variety of finishes. Each shade glides on smoothly and enables you to create an array of stunning looks.
Each blush comes in a separate compact made of the black plastic that is nice to touch. The packaging is quite sturdy and closes safely that prevents accidental opening in a makeup bag. With each blush you get 8 g or 0.27 oz of product. For example, you get 4.8 g or 0.16 oz of product with each Nars Blush, 5 g or 0.14 oz with each Rimmel Blush and 6 g or 0.21 oz with each MAC blush. The amount of Sleek blushes you buy is huge compared to what you usually get both with high-end and drugstore blushes. Each compact comes with a full size (the size of compact) mirror and has no brush.
I have three blushes to show you today. All three have very similar characteristics: these blushes are intensely pigmented (and are easy to overdo if you pick up too mush product) but are easy to control if you use it moderately. These blushes have very biuldable formula from a very sheer wash of color on your cheek to very intense splash of color if it is what you are going for. And each shade is blendable and applies evenly.
Sleek MakeUP Blush in Pomegranate is a warm-toned berry red shade with strong pink undertones and specks of pink glitter that translate into a cool-toned sheen on the skin. It is hard to create something new in the blush department nowadays but this particular shade is unique.
It is cool-toned and warm-toned at the same time. It has a very unique pink sheen to it that seems very unusual and unexpectedly beautiful on the skin. This makes it suitable for many different skin tones. This blush is very intensely pigmented one and can be built up to a very dark color that makes this blush show up on very deep skin tones as well.
Sleek MakeUP Blush in Pixie Pink is a cool-toned light to medium pink with strong blue undertones and a completely matte finish. This is one of the best matte blushes that I have ever used. It goes evenly and not patchy at all and has zero sheen to it.
I love cool-toned pinks as these suit my skin tone the best. Due to the fact that this blush is completely matte makes it a great choice even for aging skin as it adds a very healthy flush to the cheeks without emphasizing the skin texture even the tiniest bit.
Sleek MakeUP Blush in Rose Gold is a warm-toned peachy-pink shade with tons of finely milled gold shimmer that creates a gorgeous golden sheen on the skin. This is a highlighting blush as it looks as if you combined a peachy-pink blush with a golden highlighter.
This particular shade is known as the closest dupe to Nars Orgasm. Though, the Nars blush is tiny bit pinker and has less fine shimmer. Other than that, these two blushes are complete dupes of each other. This shade is quite beautiful if you prefer peachy-pink blushes.
You may see how pigmented these three blushes are and how visible the effect of the each blush is. The Pomegranate and Pixie Pink are my favorite ones of the bunch because these two are the most unique and interesting. But Rose Gold is a beauty as well and is suitable for many different skin tones. I am impressed with the quality of these blushes and think that these blushes are unbeatable for the price you pay. I only wish there were more shades (preferable different!) in the range. It is a marvelous product and I totally recommend checking these blushes out!
