Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation is a beautiful powder that comes in a nicely designed bronzy gun-metal plastic rectangular packaging that houses a full-sized mirror, powder pan and a sponge with UD logo on it.

The compact has a separate compartment for a sponge which is actually is pretty unusual. This sponge is double sided that allows you to use this powder both wet and dry. When used dry you has to use the fluffier side of the sponge that is so soft and gentle to touch. If you decided to use your powder wet – use the actual sponge-looking side that has UD logo on it. The separate compartment also has a ‘breathing’ grid that allows the wet sponge to dry.

The amount of product you get is 9 g or 0.31 oz that is comparable to all the drugstore powders like Bourjois Silk Edition Powder (9g) or Maybelline Fit me Powder (9g), but it has less product the some of the higher-end powders like MAC Studio Fix Powder (15g) and Chanel Les Beiges Powder (12g). The Urban Decay powder also comes with a pouch in a purple X-rayed flower design so you powder stays beautiful and the packaging remains glossy as it prevents occasional scratching.

The powder, as the majority of UD skin products, comes in a huge variety of shades – 14, to be exact, that allows a lot of different people with different skin tones and undertones to find their own shade that suits them perfectly. The colors are ranging from the lightest (Fair Cool) to the deepest (Deep Neutral). I have the shade Light Neutral that is a perfect match to NW25 as it does not lean warm or yellow as a majority of other powders do, neither is it too cool-toned.

This is one of the best powders I own. It is extremely finely milled and feels almost silky and creamy to touch. It is definitely a high-definition powder is it blurs the skin surface, makes any wrinkles or fineness almost invisible. The powder is undetectable on the skin even if layered but the effect it provides is noticeable. When used dry it allows you to get a sheer but buildable coverage. Use it wet for a more intense results and extra coverage. It works wonderfully to set any type of foundation when used dry and it is my preferred method of using this powder. It also has a demi-matte finish that looks really natural on the skin.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation gets the highest rating from me. It is an amazing powder and is probably the only one that I will repurchase as I use it regularly. I am really happy that I have finally got it and I really enjoy using it.

  1. I also have dryer skin but still cant not apply a powder to set my foundation, I hate my foundation feeling tacky. But its hard to find one that doesn’t further exaggerate dry patches, would love to give this one a shot!

    1. Glad it was useful for you! In order to avoid dry patches when applying powder – use a more hydrating foundation or a moisturizing cream underneath. The best way is to apply a very thin layer of powder – and this Urban Decay powder is a very good option for this purpose 🙂
