Review of the Day: Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush (Iced Lotus)

With all that hype around the Clinique Cheek Pop blushes everyone seems to have completely forgotten the other Blushes Clinique has – the Blushing Blush Powder Blushes, that are absolutely amazing as well! Today I have a gorgeous shade for you to review and I have to say that is not even a tiny bit less beautiful than any of the Cheek Pops.

Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush ($22.00) has a silky formula that sweeps effortlessly over cheekbones to create a natural look. Fresh, jet-milled color builds and blends beautifully to desired intensity with custom sculpting brush.

These Clinique powder blushes are also stated to be long-wearing, color-true and oil-free. Each blush comes in a plastic compact with transparent botton that reveals the color inside and a reflective mirror-like plastic lid with the brand name on it. The lid also have a full-sized built-in mirror in it and the bottom part houses a natural hair Clinique brush big enough to be used with this blush. Each compact contains 6 g or 0.21 oz of product that is a usual amount for blushes on the market today.

The particular shade I have for you today is the 114 Iced Lotus that is officially described as ‘a blue pink with white shimmer‘ and is actually a light to medium pink with neutral undertones and extremely finely milled, barely there pink and white shimmer that adds a lot of luminosity to the blush and translates into a gentle sheen once on the skin.

The actual powder is silky soft to touch and is very pigmented. You can easily vary the intensity of the blush as it is very blendable and buildable and works nicely with any blush brush you use with it. It is a very beautiful and flattering shade overall and can easily suit any skin tone due to its neutral undertones. The blush stays put for eight to ten hours and is truly long-wearing. The color comes to true to pan as advertised and makes your skin look fresh and glowing so you can even skip a highlighter with it.

This is a beautiful blush both in terms of color and formula. It definitely deserves the highest rating from me and I really look forward to trying more of these blushes in future. Blendable, buildable and long wearing – these are ideal characteristics for a good blush and Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush meets them all perfectly. Totally recommend it!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

  1. I have this thing for round blushes! I feel that the blush brushes can get at the pan better… that’s why I prefer the Clinique Cheek Pops over their regular line. I’d even take square pans but I find rectangular ones really difficult to work with… but pretty colour though. 🙂
