It has already been three months since I published a post on products I used up. So it is time now for the third quarterly empties edition! That is quite exciting for me as a beauty blogger I do not always finish products that quickly. And usually I do have empties of those products that I truly love and enjoy using daily, that obviously results in them becoming empty quite quickly!
Today I have eight interesting product for you. Some of this products are my favorites and staples, a couple are just descent and some of these products I have already reviewed for you.
Over the last four months I have completely used up The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer ($30.00). I have done a full review on this amazing face cream already. This cream smells very citrusy that I personally really like, but the scent doesn’t linger to your skin. I love it’s lightweight gel-like texture that spreads easily on the skin and absorbs instantly! It won’t help with extremely dehydrated skin, so I prefer using it in the mornigng prior makeup application. It works wonders as a makeup base – it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin very smooth to touch and absolutely non-sticky! And it adds a bit of a glow to your skin as well. I love this cream as a makeup base and will definitely repurchase!
Another favorite of mine is the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 ($14.00 for 200 ml/6.7 fl oz). I have been a huge fan of Clinique skincare for sometime now and this toner or clarifying lotion as the brand states is a wonderful skincare item! I usually use it twice a day – in the morning after I wash my face and in the evening after I take off my makeup. It does really make my skin very clean and does not make it dry as my skin is now a dry to combination type. It is also feels very refreshing and goes well with the rest of Clinique skincare. You can also read my full-review on this toner here. Already repurchased!
The final face product would be the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer ($32.00). First of all, it is the most deliciously scented face primer ever! I love count scent and this one smells like a fresh coconut water. Secondly, it comes with a pump and what can be better for a liquid product? But overall, it is a good nourishing primer that reminds me a lot of a face cream. It helps my foundation to get applied evenly but does not really prolong the wear time. But as a hydrating primer – it is pretty good!
Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Masara ($28.50) was an impulse buy of mine. I definitely didn’t need another mascara but when I saw it in Duty Free I just grabbed it because I’ve heard so many good things about it from other beauty bloggers. And I was not that impressed. I used it up because you should use your mascaras in three-four months and then toss them – for hygienic reasons. And it actually lasted for around that time. It is not that curly, not that voluminous and not that long-wearing. It is an average mascara and my Urban Decay ones make my lashes look way more beautiful than this one. Neither disappointed, nor happy with it.
Another lash product is amazing and is an absolute makeup staple of mine! Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer ($20.00) is one of the best lash primers on the market. I’ve already done a full review on this primer and I have to say that it is like having false lashes! It evenly coats you lashes with white primer and then you put your favorite mascara one (any mascara would do, but I love how it works with the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara!). It makes my lashes so thick, long and voluminous that you wouldn’t believe it! And it also prolongs the wear-time of mascara. I already have a back-up of this amazing primer.
The Fresh Sugar Lip Polish (22.50) came to me as a VIB gift with a Sephora purchase some time ago. It is not full-sized although you get almost half the size of the full-sized lip scrub. It took me quite a long time to completely use it up and I have to admit that I’m quite on the fence with it. On the one hand, it smells delicious, has a very sweet taste and scrubs you lips gently, but on the other hand it is extremely oily and you have to either be okay with your lips remaining quite oily afterwards or spend quite some time to get rid of this oiliness.
Another lip product is my skincare staple. The Body shop Vitamin E Lip Care SPF 15 ($9.00) is the best ever lip balm. It heals even extremely chapped lips overnight! This lip balm smells a little waxy but no too strong and it will last you for ages! It is also a great balm do use beneath very drying lipsticks. I have these lip balms everywhere around my house as it is the essential part of my daily skincare routine. It makes my lips ultra-smooth, hydrated and even-toned. Totally recommend it!
And the last product for today is the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer ($18.00) in 01 Nude Pop. That is the most universal shade ever as it is a light beige shade with strong pink undertones. It is a very neutral color and can easily compliment any makeup look you have. I have also done a full review on Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer Lipstick range and I have to say that I have been very happy with each lipstick as these are very hydrating and nourishing, have wonderful color pay-off and have a very good wear time for a creamy lipstick.
This is it for my quarterly empties. What product have you used up lately? or hit pan on? Share your answers and leave your questions in the comments down below! I would love to know what you think!
Thank you very much for your attention.
Have an amazing day!
Hugs and kisses,
