Concealer is an essential part of my everyday makeup routine. I think, it does not only help with dark circles and imperfections, but lightens and brightens your face in general, making you appear well-rested and healthy. A good concealer is the one that does the job perfectly, remains undetectable on the skin and does not crease. I already have several favorites among concealers for the delicate under-eye area and I’d love share them with you. I also wonder, what are your favorite under-eye concealers?
The first place actually goes to two concealers at once, because both of them perform exceptionally well with one being on a sheerer side for ‘good skin day’ and the other one being more of a full coverage. The most intensely pigmented one is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28.00), that I already have a full review on. It is creamy, lightweight, glides on easily and gives the fullest overage you could ever expect from such a light texture! It blends easily and looks like skin. The exact same characteristics are applicable to Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer ($9.99). It has a sponge applicator on the end that delivers enough product to cover the under-eye area. It has quite a good coverage and is the best user-eye concealer for minimum or natural-looking makeup. It is buildable and blends like a dream with your fingers or any sponge of your choice.
My other favorites include Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream ($11.95), that I have been a huge fan of for quite some time now. It is truly undetectable on the skin and it performs well both as a highlighter and a concealer. If you set it with powder it will last you the whole day without creasing. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer ($7.99) is exactly the same type of a concealer as the Bourjois one. It is really good at covering dark circles and at highlighting the under-eye area. It works best if tapped with the fingers and set with powder afterwards. I also love the Benefit Fakeup Under Eye Concealer ($24.00) for when I am lazy with applying my eye cream underneath. It has a balmy part that helps with skin hydration and the concealing part that blends with it really well, but it also requires to be set with powder to prevent it from creasing. And finally, I also like to add a bit of MAC Prep+Prime Highlighter ($26.00) in Radiant Rose to any of the above mentioned concealers to make them appear a bit radiant in order highlight the area, as it is a wonderful under-eye concealer-highlighter.
So, what do you prefer using to cover dark circles? To highlight the under eye area? What is you perfect under-eye concealer? Please, share you answers, thoughts and ideas in the comments down below! I would love to know what you think!
Thank you very much for your attention.
Have an amazing day!
