More than a month ago and right in the beginning of August I published two posts dedicated to the newest line of lip glosses by L’Oreal that come in several finishes from creams to dazzles and mattes. Today I would love to show you the neons!
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss (£6.99 or $11.00) has the highest level of shine for a mega glossy look and no stickiness.
Neons feature several lip glosses that look very neon and bright in a tube. But those shade mainly fall within range of fuchsia pinks and bright pinky-oranges with no other colors available. Both of the neon lip glosses I have come in the same packaging as the whole range – plastic transparent sleek tube with black cap and a lip-shaped applicator that is prefect for applying these lip glosses.
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss that has a name of ‘Hot for Hawaii’ on the cap is a bright fuchsia neon. It looks neon only in the packaging being a very light translucent gloss on the lips. It has a very nice scent (something tropical as the name suggests) and a very sweet taste.
The texture of the lip gloss is very comfortable and glides easily on the lips. Being translucent this lip gloss still have fuchsia undertone and it adds a bit of pinky color to the lips. These particular lip glosses act more like a tints (that are so popular now) than actual lip glosses. It stains your lips with a light pink color and stays put even when the glossy finish wears off.
The L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss in ‘Sayonara Sunset’ lip gloss is very much similar to the Hot for Hawaii but seems to be a tiny bit more intense in terms of color. It looks bright orange-pink in a tube and is not that translucent. It also has a very sweet taste and scent that does not linger to the skin or bother you during the wear time.
Being way more orange in a tube it looks pinker on the lips. The color is a bit deeper in comparison with the Hot for Hawaii and stains your lips more. It has the same comfortable and hydrating consistency as all mega glosses do and applies evenly with the applicator.
Both of the lip glosses have nearly the same characteristics: both are very translucent and act like stains on the lips with Sayonara Sunset being a bit more intense, both have very comfortable and nourishing texture that leaves your lips soft and hydrated for several hours to go and both have a very beautiful high-shine, glossy finish.
Neons look neon only in the tube and turn into translucent barely-colored glosses on the lips. This line is perfect for those who like very subtle color on the lips with a lot of shine. It is ‘your lips but better’ lip gloss if you like such products. I really like how hydrating these lip glosses are but the lack of color makes this product quite niche with other finishes being more popular. It is a very good product for beginners and those who doesn’t like much color on their lips.
