Essence presented a very gentle, beautiful and girly collection of makeup for the earliest summer this year. Inspired with the British tradition for having garden tea-parties Essence launched several gorgeous products, some of which I want to show you today.
I absolutely adore Essence as a brand for many gorgeous and fun collections with pretty and eye-catching design combined with affordable price. When I first saw the Brit-Tea collection I was so impressed that I couldn’t resist getting at least these two beauties – the eye shadow palette and a gorgeous blush!
The Essence Brit-Tea Eyeshadow Palette 01 Keep Calm and have some tea with three eyeshadow pans of very neutral pastel shades has a very nice design with white flowery print on a transparent lid. In general Essence eyeshadows have very descent pigmentation and perform excellent over the eyeshadow primer/base. These eyeshadows are no exception and are ideal for very gentle makeup looks and as all-over shadows.
The size of the eyeshadow pans is quite large and you get 0.19 oz or 5.64 g of product with this palette. The brand recommends to apply lighter shades on the lid with dark shadows on the outer corners. But all of the shades are quite light and pastel colored so you can apply these shadows the way your prefer with no fear to over-do the makeup look.
The shades that come in this palette have satin finish with tiniest shimmer that translates into barely-there sheen on the eyes. The lightest shade is milky-beige color with golden sheen. The middle shade is whitened peachy color with pink-golden sheen. And the darkest shade is light lavender with pink shimmer in it that results in very beautiful pink sheen on the skin.
The star of the whole collection is definitely the Essence Brit-Tea Blush 01 Tea-Riffic Garden Party with exceptional beautiful and sophisticated rose flower design, that actually reminds me a lot of the ByTerry Terribly Rose de Rose Trio Powder Blush, that has somewhat similar design but is ten times more expensive.
The blush comes in a combination of three shades in a form of rose prints. One shade is the matte light pinky white color that acts as a highlighter and lightens up the color of the blush. The second lightest shade is presented by two rose-sectors of different size and is the matte cool-toned light pink. The darkest shade also comes in a form of two flowers and is also matte warm-toned deep coral pink shade.
When all shades are mixed together in somewhat similar proportions you get a light pink blush that is ideal for fair and very light skintones. On my tan skin it looks powdery right now but will be perfect for when I’m NW20 (my wintery shade). It has very nice illuminating properties that can definitely freshen up the look and create this famous glow-from-within.
I like both products I got from Essence Brit-Tea collection – design is beyond gorgeous for such a budget-friendly brand. And the quality is actually very very nice. If you have a chance to check out Essence monthly collections – you definitely should. I am pretty sure everyone can always find something useful there!
I hope that this small collection/brand overview was interesting for you and entertaining to read!
Thank you very much for your attention.
Have an amazing day!
