Question of the Day: What is your perfect matte powder?

Spending this summer on the Red Sea, I (the owner of the dry skin!) encountered a huge problem of the oily T-zone. I cannot say that it really does bother me that much, but form time to time I do reach for a matte powder to get rid of this greasy feeling on my forehead that I could never relate to before. Hot humid weather with no wind drives my skin crazy and it produces more oil than ever before.

I cannot say that I have found my holy grail matte powder to solve this issue – but I’ve get a really good one for that particular purpose. The budget friendly Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder is a worthy powder to look at when you need to mattify any area of your face. It comes in a range of shades though not suitable for deeper skin tones. I love the shade 003 Peach GlowΒ for my summer tan skin and I am pretty happy with it – I have even shared it with you in my June Favorites. It does mattify my skin really well, but it looks natural rather than flat. It solves the problem for the upcoming 6-7 hours (when it’s exceptionally hot!) but has to be reapplied to keep my skin from the oils for the rest of the day.

I wonder if there are other descent matte powders out there. What are your favorites? What could you recommend for dry skin? And for oily or combination types – for other readers to consider? What is you favorite budget-friendly option and a luxury one? Please share your thoughts in the comments down below! Maybe we will be able to find a perfect solution for matte skin this summer!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,

Dorothea
