First Impression: The Body Shop Moisture White Bright Compact Foundation

The Body Shop always has something interesting to offer in terms of face illuminating products. And this time I was extremely excited to see that the brand has launched an amazing and very promising brightening powder to join the rest of the line.

The Body Shop Moisture White Bright Compact Foundation (S$39.90 or $29.00) is the powder foundation designed to bring multi-dimensional light to your face so your complexion looks radiant from every angle.

This powder comes in a white and black plastic compact with two compartments. The first compartment features the powder itself (on the main photo) and a small mirror in the lower part of the compact. When the compartment lid is closed you have access to the white sponge located on top of it. The way the compact is designed makes it a bit bulky but more travel-friedly as you have everything there – a powder, a mirror and a full-size sponge that allows you to apply powder even on the go.

The powder is divided into two disproportionate parts – the bigger one is the neutral beige-colored powder and the smaller one is cool-toned pink highlighter with silver shimmer. The powder and highlighter are very finely milled but not dusty. You can apply this powder with a sponge (the one you have in compact or a beauty blender) for more full-coverage effect or you can use a fluffy brush for a more sheer coverage. You can also use both sectors separately – matte powder and shimmery highlighter. Or you can swirl you brush in the pan and apply the mix of two powders on you face for more glowing effect. The powder has the SPF of 25 that is a good option for summer.

Overall, I really liked this powder for a very weightless application I could achieve with a brush. I especially like that I can mix powders and get ‘meteorites’-like effect on my face – glowing and air-brushed. This is a nice powder for any time of the year as you can vary the intensity of coverage and the level of the glow. The only drawback is that this powders comes in one or two shades, both very light. The shade I own is the lightest and it is the perfect match for my NW20 skin. Another shade is just slightly darker. Other than that – it is a beautiful powder and I plan to keep using it.

I hope this small review was interesting for you. If you have any questions – leave them in the comments down below!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,
