Question of the Day: What is your favorite nail polish shade for summer?

Summer is the best time to wear bright nail polishes! And summer is definitely the right timing for perfect pedicures. Sunny hot weather makes it a must to do your nails and I think that I keep painting my nails more often than not in summer and I keep choosing unusual shades and textures that would perfectly go with my outfits and look gorgeous in bright sun light!

The huge variety of different nail polish brands makes it easy to choose some extraordinary colors or to find your ideal nude depending on your activity and your own preferences. I really like marine colors, pastel nudes and subtle pinks for summer as they remind me a lot about the sea shore and sand and gentle flowers that you are likely to see at the beach.

Today I have nine shades that I plan to be using for my manicure (and pedicure!) this summer. Chanel May is a very gentle yet vibrant medium-toned pink. Essie Suit Retreat is a part of the Essie 2015 Summer Resort Collection (my absolute favorite color right now!) and is a very unique blue-ish purple cream color. The limited edition but nevertheless gorgeous MAC Submerged is a purple to teal chrome with frost finish. A pretty old and probably discontinued but still one of my favorites – Dior Pink Porcelain – is an amazing office appropriate light beige with pink undertones and silver glitter. The Butter London Nail Lacquer in All Hail The Queen is a very gentle beige taupe holographic nail polish with silver and gold particles that shine bright in the sun and it is the best reflection of sand among the nail polish I have ever seen. The no name Tony Moly nail polish that you can easily find at the Tony Moly counters though is a very beautiful and festive milky purple cream with multi-sized and multi-colored glitter in it! A very rare shade in my nail polish collection Illamasqua Cameo is a very bright yet muted (how is that even possible!) blue with exceptional application and wear characteristics – this is the perfect beach shade! Anny Sweet Muse was the limited edition last summer and is truly sweet warm-toned light pink color that is a perfect choice for the days when you want something neutral and calm on your nails. And finally I was surprised with the high quality of the L’Oreal Nouvelle Vague nail polish and the color is so pretty as is is a light milky purple exactly like the gentle flowers on the lilac tree.

That is my color choice for this summer. I wonder what polishes you go for in summer time? Do you tend to wear brights? or teals? or maybe blues? Or you stick to nudes and light pinks? Or maybe you are huge fan of deep and dark shades for summer? Share your answers, ideas and thoughts in the comments down below!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,
