If you have been reading my blog for quite some time now you know how much I love blushes! And with such a huge diversity on the beauty market you can sometime get confused with gorgeous colors, interesting textures and mesmerizing effects! But sometimes there are true hidden gems even among blushes. Meet the MAC Mineralize Blush in Gentle – an amazing raspberry pink with golden sheen!
I rarely get that excited about the makeup items as I was when I first swatched the Gentle blush. A blush is such a product that is practically going to last you forever and that doesn’t show up that much on the skin as you normally do not apply a ton of it on your cheeks. And the majority of blushes do tend to look the same on the cheeks even though they look quite different in the pan. But not in the case with this gorgeous MAC blush.
MAC Mineralize Blush in Gentle ($27.00) presents baked minerals refined into a powder blush formula to provide exceptionally sheer and lightweight application.
It is a powder blush that comes in the mineralize section of MAC products. It has a very good color pay-off and the formula allows you to easily build the color up to the desired intensity – from very sheer touch of color to naturally flushed cheeks.
The uniqueness of the color is in it’s complexity. When swatched it appears to be more or less neutral but it changes its undertone depending on the lighting and on the skin tone. Having a very cool-toned raspberry pink base it has very nice and finely milled gold pearl in it that makes it appear golden at some angles. It works as a blush and as a highlighter at the same time.
The only thing that I personally do not like about this blush is the packaging. It is the most uncomfortable packaging ever as it is so hard to open! It closes perfectly well but the only ledge that helps to open it up is located on the bottom part of the pan and is tiny and you have to apply a lot of effort to open it as a result. This is the main problem with the new packaging that MAC launched about a year ago. Older packagings were much more user-friendly.
Nevertheless, it is one of my favorite blushes for it’s outstanding color and easy application! If you love complex pinks with gold sheen this is the blush to have a look at. It is definitely a hit and one of the most interesting blushes in the MAC line.
I hope this post was both interesting and useful for you. If you have any questions about this blush – please leave them in the comments down below!
Thank you very much for your attention.
Have an amazing day!
