Chanel nail polishes are very well-known for beautiful colors, hidden shimmers and unusual textures. Being modern and colorful these nail polishes remain conventional and always appropriate. Having Chanel nail polish on your fingers you always feel especially beautiful and fashionable, gorgeous yet trendy! Because who can resist these amazing polishes?
Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour ($27.00) features classic and trend-defining shades in an exclusive formula that strengthens and moisturizes nails as it delivers high-shine colour. Applies without streaking.
The color I decided to show you today is the limited edition shade – Chanel Le Vernis 525 Quartz, that was a part of the Autumn Collection 2011 and was accompanied by two other shades, that are beautiful as well.
It is quite a unique shade that you won’t be able to find dupes for. It is a taupe olive with a strong metallic sheen and tons of multi-colored sparkles. It is not the easiest polish to describe as it changes its color significantly depending on the lighting.
It leans a lot silvery beige with deep brown undertones in flash and artificial lighting and you can see millions of tiny glittery particles in the formula – there are rose, silver and light-blue shimmer in it.
But once you get to the natural light it becomes less vibrant and you can see more of the olive-brown base and a metallic sheen. This shade is very complex and changes easily in different angles as it goes from olive beige to silver in a a second.
The name of this nail polish reflects the idea perfectly. The majority of natural quartz stones are white and translucent, but very rarely you may encounter the smokey quartz. This type of quartz changes its color from taupe-beige to white and this nail polish translates the idea to your nails. The smokiness in its color adds mystery and complexity to this stone and to the nail polish of its name.
As for the application I have to say that it is not the easiest one. As it is shimmer on one side and metallic on the other you cannot avoid streakiness. But somehow it is not that visible and noticeable on the nails and the manicure looks nice. The formula is somewhat sheer and you need two layers to achieve opacity of the color. The wear time is not great as the tips wear off the first day and the nail polish starts chipping in two or three days depending on what you do. I always use Chanel nail polishes with a base and a top coat.
I am not sure whether you can still get it somewhere or not but I just wanted to share its beauty with you. I hope this post was interesting and entertaining for you. Please leave your questions in the comments down below!
Thank you very much for your attention.
Have an amazing day!
