Review of the Day: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

Recently I have purchased a new concealer from the Urban Decay. The brand extended the Naked Skin line with the respective concealer that is supposed to be absolutely weightless and have an amazing coverage at the same time. To tell you the truth right away this is the best concealer I have ever tried. I am not only impressed with this product, I have to say that it is a game changer on the market as it feels completely different from all other concealers and correctors.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28.00) gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish.

The formula is quite lightweight and feels creamy. The sponge applicator allows you to easily apply the required amount of the product on the right place. If you go for a natural look you really need just the tiniest amount of concealer applied to the under-eye area. And if you plan to achieve the full coverage and full opacity on this area – the product is easy to build up.

This concealer has a very distinctive scent – exactly the same as the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation has. The scent doesn’t linger to the skin and disappears in a few seconds after application so it is not a problem at all. This concealer blends like a dream and you do not have to do much work to apply this concealer evenly on your skin and blend it to a full coverage that doesn’t not differ from you skin as it melds on perfectly.

I tried to apply the product in multiple ways and it works exactly the same with the brush, with the fingers or with a beauty blender. So feel free to use any tool you like and you will have the same result – beautiful and even full coverage that looks exactly like your own skin.

The finish is not completely matte but not that luminous – it looks natural on the skin and if applied moderately you can’t even tell that there is a concealer on your under-eye area. I personally prefer to set my concealer with the powder and any powder works nicely with this concealer and does not accentuate any fine lines or change the look of the concealer.

What I like about this product is how long wearing it is. It stays perfectly on for at least 8-10 hours with no smearing and nothing can actually ruin it – neither sweat nor tears. The best way to get this concealer off is to use the makeup remover.

I usually apply this concealer after I moisturize my under eye area with the eye cream (my favorite one is the Clinique All About Eye rich eye cream) and it does not dry out the sensitive skin. I would also advise you not to overdo or over-apply this concealer as it is extremely pigmented and you literally need just a single swipe to completely cover any dark circles and blue veins.

This concealer comes in a variety of shades with different undertones from the fairest ones (Fair Neutral – the one I own and that is perfect for NW20 and lighter skin tones) to the deepest (like Dark Neutral). Undertones could be either neutral (rosy-beige base) or warm (very yellow base).

Overall it is a great concealer to use that significantly levels up the expected quality of the concealers on the market. If you are looking for a full coverage concealer with quite a lightweight formula – then get the Urban Decay Weightless Complete Coverage concealer and you won’t be disappointed. I really adore this concealer and I think it has already become one of my makeup staples. You can also read more about it in my April Favorites.

I hope this post was both interesting and useful for you. If you have any questions about this product – please leave them in the comments down below and I will be happy to provide you with thorough answers!

Thank you very much for your attention.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs and kisses,

Dorothea

  1. Have you tried Urban Decay’s Powder Foundation? I got a sample of it from Sephora and it’s AMAZING! It’s so natural looking but it covers up what you need covered up.. I really need to buy it x.x

    1. If you have to choose between the UD concealer and the Nars one I would go for the UD! I own both of them and I can say that the UD is very lightweight and the Nars is very thick and creamy as a result the coverage of the Nars concealer is thicker though it’s fully opaque. At the same time you have full coverage with the UD but the concealer itself is thin and invisible on the skin. Due to it’s creamy formula Nars does get into fine lines and crease over time even set with powder and nothing like that ever happens to the UD. Nars concealer is a good choice for full face makeup but I believe it is too heavy for the under eye area – it is much better for highlighting purposes on the face and for the actual spot concealing. The UD is an ideal choice for under eyes and it acts as a nice face highlighter too.
