April is officially over and we are approaching one of the most beautiful and cheerful months of the year – May. I’m very excited to see the summer coming so fast but I’m really happy that the first months of the year were so fruitful for new exciting collections and amazing products. And April is not an exception in this case.
In the gorgeous and sunny month of April I noticed that more and more often I was reaching for lighter textures, natural shades and long-wearing makeup. The rising temperature doesn’t live us much choice of makeup and I was happy to see a lot of amazing waterproof makeup items at my favorite counters.
As one of the best and noteworthy April products I would name the Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara ($20.00). This mascara is ultra black, has lengthening fibers in the texture and stays put no matter what! Feel free to swim and dive while having this mascara on – that is how waterproof it is. And you can take it off surprisingly easy with the oil based makeup remover.
Another product that helps my makeup stay in place is The Body Shop Brow and Lash Gel (£10.00 or $15.00). This is a very nice option for a holding your eyebrows in place. It has a watery gel consistency and does not require too much product to fix the hair. It is also intended for lash defining as it is ophthalmologically tested and it suitable for contact-lens wearers that is a big plus in terms of eye makeup.
As for the actual eye makeup, as you may have noticed, I was leaning to the neutrals, golds and bronze shades and one of my favorite palettes for that purposes was the Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow Collection ($36.00), that I have already talked about and swatched in my April makeup haul. That is the best palette to consider purchasing if you are new to makeup. It has gorgeous neutral contours shades, stunning highlighters and interesting deeper colors.
I have also been very impressed with the most recent launch of the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28.00). The shade I got is the Fair Neutral which is an absolutely perfect highlighting shade for my NW20 skin tone. Nevertheless the concealer has a very light and easily bendable texture the coverage is awesome and I have never seen anything like that even though I own quite a lot of different concealers. I think it is the best one on the market up to date. Stay tuned for the upcoming full review on this amazing product.
My favorite blush this month has been the Benefit Hervana Blush ($28.00). It is a very flattering peachy-pink shade with nice golden sheen. It looks very refreshing on the skin and has good blendability characteristics. This blush doesn’t look like a pop of color on my pale skin and you can steadily build it up to the desired intensity. You can read a full review on this amazing blush if you are interested.
For a lip color I have to go with the Guerlain Kiss Kiss Shaping Cream Lip Colour ($37.00) in shade Golden Girl. Believe me, it’s a perfect nude out there in a gorgeous sleek black packaging. Guerlain knows how to create an impressive product with the sense of style. The color is beigy pink with golden sheen and it looks magical on the lips.
Finally, there is another favorite of mine for this month – The Body Shop Brush on Radiance (£14.00 or $22.00). I have already done a full review on it and it’s needless to say that this product is extremely alluring. Who doesn’t want their skin to look fresh and glowing and natural at the same time? This lightweight powder in form of cute multi-colored beads does exactly that, leaving iridescent glow on your skin.
I hope you liked these monthly favorites! Tell me about your favorite products of April in the comments down below!

Have an amazing day!
