Review of the day: Benefit Hervana Blush

Today I decided to do a review on one of the most neglected but the most beautiful Benefit makeup products I’ve come across lately. Benefit is one of those brands that is able to combine adorable packaging with a gorgeous product inside. The reliable quality of their products have always been the main reason for me to get any of their makeup items.

I got the Benefit Hervana blush ($28.00) because I was so extremely happy with another Benefit face product – the Dandelion blush/face powder.

The powder comes in a cardboard packaging as all Benefit blushes do, but it is very well done and looks quite nice due to a beautiful design of the packaging. Inside you will find a small mirror that is useful on the go and a full sized slightly tapered brush with a very short handle. I don’t tend to use this brush at home as I own other face and blush brushes that are more comfortable to use. But if you don’t have anything else on hand this brush is alright – it is dense enough to pick up the needed amount of product and it distributes the blush pretty well.

Benefit Hervana Blush is a ‘good karma’ face powder. The result is an orchid-blossom blush with a soft satin finish. It is supposed to give your skin a heavenly flush of enlightenment.

This description sounds so perfect, doesn’t it? The idea behind the product was to create a very gentle peachy-pink blush with amazing sheen. As a result we get a nice blush in a form of a swirl, that consists of four shades: lucky shell (light beige with rose tint), divine peach (medium-toned peach with gold sheen), heavenly rose (matte light mauve pink) and berry delight (matte cool-toned lavender). Mixing the product together with a brush you get a neutral peachy-pink color, that leans warm or cool depending on you skin tone.

The color intensity is not extreme, that allows you to steadily build the color up that I find perfect for me as I have very light and pale skin (NW20). This blush also has quite nice highlighting effect, because two out of four shades have finely milled glitter in the consistency. On the face it look so fresh, natural and goes well with any makeup look you do.

Such a blush is perfect choice for you if you very pale skin tone and are looking for a natural shade, that you won’t be able to overdo. It is definitely an underrated product in the Benefit line – it is a hidden gem in the brand’s collection and I can easily recommend it to you.
