Hello, gorgeous!

Month of February is an amazing period of time, filled with new expectations, love and hopes. When February ends – spring officially starts and what can be more beautiful, fresh and exciting than spring? And I want to talk you into starting these wonderful months with new amazing products that became my absolute favorites during the previous month!

L'oreal La Palette Nude Rose, L'oreal True Match foundation, L'oreal Magic Lumi Highlighter, Maybelline Color Tatoo 24HR cream gel eyeshadow 65 Pink Gold, Revlon highlighting palette Rose Glow

I must say that I am the biggest fan of eyeshadows and as soon as L’oreal La Palette Nude (£14.99 or $23.00) in Rose was released I have been using it religiously! I cannot imagine myself applying powder eyeshadows without the base (I personally prefer using Urban Decay Primer Potion or Nars Smudge Proof base) therefore I cannot report any problems with the color payoff – all shades perform decently and I really enjoyed using this palette everyday for neutral or smoky eye make-up that perfectly suites every look I go for. This palette is honestly a hidden gem in the drugstore department! I strongly recommend checking it out if you prefer using cream base before applying eyeshadow like I do – I promise you won’t be disappointed!

To tell you the truth, L’oreal just made this month for me – the most ever raved about L’oreal True Match foundation ($10.95) is perfect and easily comparable to those produced by high-end brands out there. You can trust you everyday look to this foundation and it’s won’t let you down as it provides long-lasting medium coverage with subtle glow and quite suitable for different skin types (note: for girls with dry skin I recommend applying a little bit of moisturizer prior application of the foundation) and, what is especially important, the line is presented in a huge variety of colors for different skin shades and undertones so quite a lot of people will be able to find the matching shade. Isn’t it just awesome?

And, by the way, L’oreal Magic Lumi Highlighter ($12.95) is so worth checking out. This month I was keen on a very light, natural make-up and I was striving to get rid of any patching or creasing on the sensitive under eye area and therefore I needed a medium coverage concealer/highlighter with very light and weightless texture for that purpose – and Magic Lumi Highlighter proved to be the right choice – as it is a very lightweight concealer with little sparkles in it, barely visible on skin but accounting for the quite a highlighting effect.

As for the cream eyeshadow – meet my recent discovery and ultimate love –  Maybelline Color Tatoo 24HR cream gel eyeshadow in color 65 Pink Gold ($6.99), that is such a flattering color for your eyes paired with nice black winged eyeliner or smudged eye pencil. This eyeshadow always looks so fresh and beautiful, very much spring-like.

Continuing with the rosy colors – Revlon released an amazing highlighting palette in Rose Glow (£8.99 or $13.85), that reminds me a lot of famous shimmer bricks by Bobbi Brown ($44.00). I must admit, that Revlon highlighter is quite a nice budget- friendly alternative  to shimmer bricks and I loved to use it for a subtle highlight over the rose-colored blushes – it makes them look so pretty!

Inglot Freedom system Pressed Powder #403, Clinique All About Eyes rich eye cream, Revlon Colorstay Lipliner Blush Natural, I Love Moisturizing Lip Balm Choco Mocha La La, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil Milk

If you have been striving to find this hyped about banana-colored under-eye setting  powder like the one in the Anastasia Contour Kit  – look no more! Inglot Freedom system Pressed Powder #403 ($18.00) is a light yellow powder with nearly invisible shimmer in it, called a diamond dust by Inglot and I totally agree with such a definition – it is pretty highlighting! Since getting this powder I don’t use anything else to set the concealer under my eyes as it is the most brightening powder for that purpose I’ve ever had.

If you read my previous posts you definitely know that I love to use a nice eye cream moisturizer under my eyes to avoid any dry patches in this area. And lately I was very much fond of the Clinique All About Eyes rich eye cream ($31.00) due its fast absorbing light texture and real results in moisturizing the skin – absolutely all concealers go on so well being layered on top if this cream.

I also found myself suing Revlon Colorstay Lipliners (£6.29 or $9.70) in color Blush and Natural more and more often as it glides on so smooth and the color pay-off is very decent. The variety of colors is not that huge but enough for nude, rose and red lipsticks if you’re looking for a suitable lip liner.

During winter I tend to get very dry lips and my favorite product to protect my lips has been the I Love Moisturizing Lip Balm Choco Mocha La La (£0.99 or $1.5) with amazing chocolate coffee smell and ability to revive cracked lips just in couple of hours!

While shopping for NYX make-up products I got the most raved eyeshadow pencil by the brand – NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil ($4.50) in Milk that produces such a crisp white color that will make any eyeshadow put over it so bright and enhances the color pay-off of even to weakest eye shadows to an extreme level! It’s currently my absolute must-have for a bold eye looks or a way to give weak performing eyeshadows another chance.

Tony Moly Double Needs Pang Pang Mascara in 01 Volume Pang, Tony Moly Mini Peach Lip Balm, Nars Larger than life lip gloss Candy Says, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Sin, Maybelline Color Whisper by Color Sensational in Oh La Lilac, The Body Shop Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream, Maybelline Master Precise Ink Pen eyeliner

I was always interested in Korean Cosmetics and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their products – as two of my monthly favorites products are by a Korean brand Tony Moly. The Tony Moly Double Needs Pang Pang Mascara in 01 Volume Pang ($7.96) in a fun orangey tube will definitely give you well-separated, lengthened eye lashes with quite a volume – and it’s enough to apply only one coat to get a desired effect! And, by the way, Tony Moly also does amazingly sweet and cute lip treatments – meet the Tony Moly Mini Peach Lip Balm ($5.30)- and ultra moisturizing, soothing lip treatment for over night repair. I also prefer to use it under the lipstick so it glides on smoothly and lips remain so soft. And it smells and tastes like a real peach! Love it!

Preparing for spring (it’s finally here!) I go for nice sparkly lip glosses – and the one that I was using most is Nars Larger than life lip gloss ($26.00) in Candy Says. It is so yummy – the color is muted peachy-rose with delicate sparkle to it. It makes your lips look fuller due to its glossiness and the color is so versatile so that you can pull it off for any occasion!

As for eyeshadow primer the last two months I was leaning to more shimmery colors and Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Sin ($20.00) met my preferences pretty well! The eyeshadows stick to this base really good and even if any creasing may appear by the end of the day (note: for oily girls) the sparkles of the base won’t allow it to show up. It suits so well all the shimmery eyeshadows and works especially well with gold, rose and brown colors.

I am the biggest fan of purple colors but sometimes it’s not really easy to use bright colors and in this case Maybelline Color Whisper by Color Sensational in Oh La Lilac ($7.49) is so perfect in delivering nice muted purple color while taking care of your lips. Definitely recommend this one if you like moisturizing lipsticks and want to have some color on your lips – the color range is so huge so you would definitely be able to find the color you like.

I have been recently obsessed with glowing make-up looks and as I tend to use moisturizer underneath my foundation on the daily basis The Body Shop Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream (£11.00 or $17.00) delivered absolutely perfect glowing base, that you can see trough light to medium foundation coverage. And it’s also moisturizing enough for my dry to normal skin.

And finally, my absolute favorite, holy grail product, that I discovered in February and plan to use all year long (got tons of back up already though it’s easily accessible in any drugstore department!) is gorgeous Maybelline Master Precise Ink Pen eyeliner ($7.99) in Black. This eyeliner allows me to easily draw the most precise, crisp line – thin or thick one, dries extremely quickly and stays on the whole day! No other felt-tip eyeliner provides comparable results either from luxury and drugstore brands. And it’s also suitable for people wearing contact lens. I absolutely love this product and if you don’t have it yet – you definitely should!

So, these are all my February favorite products and I hope you like this post, though it appeared a little longer than I expected. But I really wanted to share my discoveries and some perfect products with you as soon as possible 😉
