Sometimes we all find ourselves in quite an uncomfortable situation when we have to look amazing but we barely have any time to do anything about our look. And I have some tips and ideas how to instantly amp up our look but still spend only 5-10 minutes to do that.
If you only have 10 minutes to get ready – continue reading this post for an advice!
I strongly believe that our eyes always remain the most visually catching part of our face and if you have to look really nice the first thing to do is to take care of your eyes. First, you apply a tiny little bit of eye cream under your eyes to make them look rested and to get rid of black circles – I personally prefer the Clinique All about eyes rich cream ($31 for 0.5 oz). Then, you add a little bit (not to overdo!) of concealer – i like the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC eye cream ($12,5) for that purpose with you ring finger as it provides the gentlest touch to you under-eye area to lighten it up. If you feel comfortable you can put the concealer al over the lid to minimize any discoloration and veins on the lid or if you want you can add a little bit of long-wearing eye shadow – in this case I suggest one of the lightest shades of Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tatoo 24 HR Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze ($6.99).
So, once we framed our eyes the best way to make them more expressive is to use massacre. My ultimate favorite is the combination of Urban Decay Subversion primer ($20) and Urban Decay Perversion Mascara ($22) as gives you the most voluminous and lengthened lashes you’ll ever have. If there’s less time to spend on putting the primer you can definitely use the perfect Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara ($8.99) as it significantly volumes your lashes, curls them and separates them perfectly and can easily be compared to the above mentioned duo from Urban Decay.
It is up to your preference to use the blush as to my mind it makes quite a change to the face making it look glow and healthy at the same time and practically takes you on;y a couple of minutes to apple it to your cheeks. If you decided to use the blush I recommend these that have sparkles in it so that you get a blush and a highlighter in one product. One of my personal favorites remains Nars Orgasm blush ($30) that has a very flattering peachy-rose color with golden sparkles in it.
When I have no time to do my make-up I usually skip my foundation and use the moisturizer instead. Feel free to use the one that suits your skin demands best.
And to finish your look – I definitely advise you to go for a nice sparkly lip gloss of any light color as it instantly makes you lips look roller and glossy and significantly smoothes them, forgiving any dry patches you may have.
But if you have just 5 minutes I would advise you to do your lashes to immediately make your eyes look bigger and your lashes be noticeable, use a bit of concealer to make your face look rested, to put a little blush to make your look healthier and a gloss on your lips to look fresh =D
If you have any questions – leave them in the comments below and I would be glad to answer them! What are your tips for a 5-minute make up look? What products would you reach for?
